StormWaters Plumbing is based in Lehi, so this is our home city. We fix and install plumbing in homes and businesses, from Traverse Mountain to Holbrook Farms. Lehi's water comes from seven wells, three springs, and treated surface water, so we test it at your tap. A real person answers our emergency line 24/7, and estimates are free.
We serve all of Lehi, including Traverse Mountain, Holbrook Farms, Cold Spring Ranch, Ivory Ridge, Pilgrim's Landing, Pointe Meadow, Spring Creek Ranch, and Gray Farms. Every local fact on this page links to the Lehi City page or the state rule it came from.

Lehi City's 2025 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report says the city's water comes from seven wells and three springs, plus surface water from the Central Utah Water Conservancy District (source). The report lists total dissolved solids of 120 to 388 ppm. Those are the lowest and the highest values found across the city's sources. It lists no hardness figure, so we do not quote one for Lehi. Dissolved solids and hardness are two different measures. What the range does show is that the sources differ, so your tap may not match a tap across town. We test the water at your tap before we size a water softener. Have it tested if you see white, crusty scale on faucets and shower heads, spots on dishes, or a water heater that rumbles or pops as it heats.
Lehi has a second water system for lawns and gardens. The city says the system has run for over 30 years, and that the water is not treated (source). It has to stay apart from the drinking water in your house. A pipe that ties the two together is a cross connection, and it can let untreated water into the pipes you drink from. State rule says backflow assemblies shall be tested at least once a year by a certified tester (source). We do backflow testing for homes and businesses in Lehi. The same system feeds the city's fire hydrants, so it stays active all year. The city tells owners to turn the water on at the city connection in spring and off in fall, no later than October 15. If a valve or pipe on your side of that connection leaks, call us before the first hard freeze.
Lehi City is putting a meter on every pressurized irrigation connection. The city says every new connection has had one from 2016 on. In October 2022 it began a five to six year project to reach all other properties, with over 12,000 meters to switch out. Traverse Mountain was the first community, and it was completed in fall 2023 (source). You have a meter if you see a new purple lid in your yard or park strip. You still shut off irrigation with a stop and waste valve. Its lid is small, round, and metal, and it says "irrigation". The city says that when the meter is in the park strip, the valve is in most cases where it was before. When the meter is on your property, a new valve sits close to the purple lid. The city's contractor handles leaks at a new meter. For a leak in your own supply line or inside the house, we do leak detection.
Lehi City's Water and Sewer page links a brochure on protecting a water heater from thermal expansion (source). Water expands as it heats. The brochure says that a check valve, a pressure-reducing valve, or a backflow preventer in the service pipe makes the house a closed system. The expanded water has nowhere to go, so the pressure in the pipes rises. An expansion tank gives that water a place to go. The temperature and pressure relief valve is the safety device on the heater itself. The brochure tells homeowners to check that both are in place, and to contact a licensed plumber if there is any doubt. A water heater replacement is the time to add an expansion tank if it is missing. If the relief valve drips, or the pressure at your faucets surges, call for water heater repair. Do not cap or adjust the relief valve.
Our shop is in Lehi, so a job here starts close to home. We do not post an arrival time on this page, because we have not measured one and will not promise a number we cannot keep. When you call, a person tells you when a plumber can be there. For a burst pipe, a sewage backup, or no hot water, call our emergency line. It is answered 24/7. For planned work, such as a new water heater, a softener, or a backflow test before irrigation season, you can book a visit. Estimates are free, and you get the estimate before any work starts. Our work carries a guarantee, and financing is available for larger jobs. We serve homes and businesses across Lehi, from Ivory Ridge and Pointe Meadow to Cold Spring Ranch and Spring Creek Ranch. The other cities we serve are on our Utah County page.
